Unified mind

A term used by the Buddha to describe the samādhi state or the mind in which there is only awareness and nothing else in it.

The Buddha used this term to mean the mind that contains only awareness, and nothing else in it.  Later Buddhist patriarchs changed its meaning to “the one-pointed mind” (P: citta ekagattā, V: nhất tâm), the mind that is in one point. This led to some incorrect definition of samādhi as “concentration of the mind”.
